DPS Art Studio 2025 Art Program Summer Schedule: A Creative Journey
Introduction
This summer, embark on a creative journey with our meticulously designed Level I & Level II, 2-week Art Class Sessions. Whether you’re an aspiring artist or a seasoned creator, our classes offer a range of activities that will ignite your imagination and hone your skills.
Class Overview
Our summer art class program is a blend of theory, technique, and hands-on practice. Each class is tailored to different skill levels and interests. Classes will be conducted weekly and divided into the following categories:
Level I: Beginner’s Art Classes
- Introduction to Drawing: Learn basic drawing techniques, including line, shading, and form.
- Color Theory: Understand the fundamentals of color mixing and application.
- Basic Painting: Explore watercolor and acrylic painting techniques for beginners.
Level II: Intermediate Art Classes
- Figure Drawing: Focus on drawing the human figure with accuracy and expression.
- Advanced Color Techniques: Delve deeper into color theory and its application in various mediums.
- Landscape Painting: Master the art of creating compelling landscapes using different painting techniques.
Level III: Advanced Art Classes
- Abstract Art: Challenge your creativity by exploring abstract concepts and techniques.
- Mixed Media Exploration: Experiment with combining different materials and techniques to create unique artworks.
- Portrait Painting: Learn to capture the essence and character of your subject through portraiture.
Level IV: Portfolio-Builder Session
- Preparing Artworks for your portfolio
- Final Touches, portfolio set-up
Materials Required
Each student will be provided with a list of materials required for the classes. Basic supplies include:
- Sketchbooks
- Pencils and erasers
- Watercolor and acrylic paints
- Brushes of various sizes
- Palette for mixing colors
- Canvas and drawing paper
Final Exhibition
At the end of the Summer Program, we will host a final exhibition showcasing the artworks created by the students. This exhibition will be open to the public and serve as a platform for students to display their progress and creativity. It will be a celebration of the artistic journey undertaken during the summer.
